Hubert de Givenchy formed the Givenchy organization in 1952, and ran the empire for over 4 decades before retiring in 1995. Givenchy has numerous lines of fragrances out, which are very popular throughout the world. Some of the best selling fragrances by Givenchy are Givenchy Gentleman, Eau de Givenchy, #Givenchy Pour Homme, Organza, Hot Couture, Amarige and many more. Givenchy Gentleman was introduced in 1974, and is one of the older fragrances by Givenchy suitable for men. Gentleman is very definitely a fragrance, which will take some time before you can get your head wrapped around it. It is recommended for daytime wear, great for the office, but it would also be acceptable as an evening fragrance. Givenchy Gentleman cologne contains the following notes: TOP NOTES: Tarragon, Cinnamon, MIDDLE NOTES: Patchouli, Vetiver, BASE NOTES: Civet, Russian Leather. This well made fragrance by Givenchy is a floral, oriental fragrance that is wonderful for evening wear. The raspberry note makes its way through the veil of amber vetiver and magnolia with a subtle touch of pepper.
