Get Glowing Hands With These Fairness Tips

Not only a beautiful face, soft and glowing hands also add a lot to one's personality. Since the skin on our hands is not as sensitive as that of your face, it is possible to use little strong products to make your hands look and feel beautiful. To make your hands look attractive, here are simple fairness tips.
Just as our face needs proper cleaning and scrubbing, our hands too need proper care every day. Dead skin cells camouflage the natural skin tone of hands and need a regular scrubbing routine to get rid of these dead cells. A mild cleanser or a body wash is an excellent product to rub the skin while bathing. Once the hands are cleaned off the superior dirt, make sure to scrub it with either a homemade preparation or a market bought scrub. Do this at least thrice a week to reveal soft and glowing hands.
Using ordinary soap laden with harsh chemicals to wash hands is not sufficient. Regular washing with harsh chemicals may strip of the hands of its natural oil content. Instead, opt for a mild hand cleanser that cleans gently without making your hands dry.
Using a fairness pack on hands would yield soft and lightened hand complexion. Fairness packs can be made easily with ingredients available at home.
Moisturising is an important aspect of skincare. Dry hands hamper the complexion of the skin. Make sure your hands are always moisturized with a mild moisturizer every night before retiring to the bed.
Sunscreen is as important to the hands as it is to the face. Use a sunscreen with SPF 15 or more on the hands. This will retain the skin tone of your hands and would not cause them to burn in the sun.
Waxing is a great way to remove the accumulated dead skin on the hands. It not only removed unwanted hair but also reveals a fresher skin tone. Always opt for mild waxing ingredients such as wax strips treated with Aloe Vera or sugar and honey wax. Though hair removal creams also work well, they may darken the skin with prolonged use.
Like it is important to remove makeup from the face, it is imperative to remove makeup from the hands too. Use a mild makeup removing cream or baby oil to remove any traces of foundation before hitting the sack.
Home treatments for fairer hands
Make a scrub of lemon and sugar and rub on the hands till all the sugar granules melt. The sugar granules should not be very fine. Scrub for 10-15minutes and wash off with cold water.
A pack of milk, lemon and cucumber are great to lighten the skin tone of hands. Take 2tsp raw or unboiled milk, 1tsp lemon juice and 2 tsp cucumber juice. Massage the hands with this mixture and leave for 10 minutes before washing off with cold water.
Turmeric is known to lighten the complexion and make skin glow. Make a pack of sandalwood and turmeric powder and rub on your hands. Leave for 15 minutes and then soak your hands in cold water. Rub your hands while removing the pack.
Papaya is a great ingredient to give a wrinkle free flawless skin. Make a paste of green papaya and rub on the hands for 15minutes.Wipe off hands with a damp warm hotel. This treatment will give instantly fair looking hands.
Oatmeal, tomato, and yogurt make for a quick skin lightening pack. Oatmeal helps in scrubbing off dead skin while yogurt moisturizes the skin. Tomato juice helps in lightening the complexion. Make a paste of all three-2tbs each and rub on the skin. Leave on for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water.
Honey and lemon juice work wonders to give lightened skin tone. Make a mixture of 2tbsp milk powder with 1 tbsp honey and 1tbsp lemon juice. Apply on the hands and leave for 15-20minutes. Clean the pack with a warm damp cloth.
Potatoes are found in every household. Potato juice helps in lightening the skin tone, thus giving it a fairer look. Peel a potato ad cut thin slices. Rub the potato slices on the hands, concentrating on darkened areas. Leave the juice for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water. Everyday use gives excellent results.
Orange is rich in Vitamin C that helps in lightening the complexion and making the skin glow. Make a scrub out of the orange peel and mix with raw milk. Apply the paste on the hands and leave for 20minutes. Remove the pack with a damp cloth to reveal tan free hands.
Hands too need oil massage to keep their moisture locked in. Prepare an oil blend using an adequate amount of olive oil and 2inch of licorice root. Heat the mixture and cool it until luke warm. Massage your hands with this oil blend for 10-12minues. Soak a clean cloth in warm water and remove excess oil from the hands. This will make the hands soft and supple with continued use.

Body Jewelry: An Unusual Way of Enhancing The Beauty of Your Own Body
By Angela Davis | Submitted On January 12, 2005

Since ancient times body jewelry has been a part of the culture and heritage of different religions. It has been known to be an essential part of the clothing and appearance of the people in many regions of the world. At different parts of time through the centuries it was also used to signify the class demarcations prevalent in society at that point of time.
However in recent times it has acquired a new dimension. Body jewelry has never been in such high demand. The human body is not merely a body, it is a piece of art which has its own innate beauty and body jewelry is the perfect way to enhance the beauty of your body. Not only can you decorate your body with it, but you can also use it to bring into focus certain parts of your body or to enhance the beauty of certain parts.
Body jewelry items are usually for particular places on the human body. These more common places for body jewelry include the nose, eyebrow, nipple, ear lobes and naval, along with ear plugs (both curved and straight barbells). As fashion trends keep changing, the various parts where you can use body jewelry and the manner in which you can use it also keeps changing.
Nose body jewelry comes either in the classic captive circular barbell, or in the form of a nose screw. The nose screw can either be jeweled or plain, depending upon your preference. Eyebrow body jewelry is similar to that of the nose, in the sense that the eyebrow body jewelry also has the small captive barbell. This is now being made with a dangling, sparkling charm to hang from the upper most part of your eyebrow barbell. The eyebrow body jewelry can be either curved or straight with a charm of any style or color dangling from the top.
Nipple and naval body jewelry is one of the more popular types of body jewelry, it is especially popular amongst the youth or the more adventurous in spirit. Nipple body jewelry includes the nipple barbells and the nipple shields. Naval body jewelry designs are also endless.
Whatever kind of body jewelry you use or wear it is important to keep some pointers in mind. Such as what kind of material is that specific body jewelry made off, is your skin allergic to it and is the piercing for the body jewelry done in a sterile and antiseptic environment.
This kind of jewelry is available for almost every conceivable part of your body. There are endless styles, designs, colors and textures in which body jewelry is made. What ever your budget, whether it is low end or high end; body jewelry is available in every range to suit your pocket as well as your tastes.
Body jewelry is not merely a decorative fixture; it is also a personal style statement. You can use it to bring attention or to take away attention from a specific part of your body. It is quite in vogue these days and has been in existence since time immemorial. If you have the attitude and the panache you can carry of any kind of body jewelry.

Fasting: The Long Forgotten Anti-Aging Lynchpin
By Brendan Sweeney | Submitted On December 21, 2016

Yoga is fast becoming a cherished addition to the health-conscious subsect of society, and for good reason. It offers relief from anxiety, improved circulation, as well as clinically documented benefits to the brain. But that which is referred to as "Yoga" in Western society is merely one Yogic practice. Another practice routinely instituted by Yogis is one that is at least as potent, and most likely far more ancient. This practice is known as fasting.
Our bodies are biomechanical masterpieces, capable of tremendous feats when properly maintained. On the timeline of human history, the period during which anyone had food readily available 24 hours a day 365 days a year represents a microscopic blip. As a result of our relatively tumultuous past, our bodies have attuned themselves to a rhythm of fasting and feasting; a "yin and yang" of metabolic function. For whatever reason, this half of the equation has fallen by the wayside, even though ancient societies were keenly aware of its significance.
Eating food triggers production of IGF-1 and associated metabolic pathways which tell our bodies to grow. Assuming this is done via healthy foods created by nature, this is a good thing to a point. But due to our hunter-gatherer history which was characterized by much scarcity, we are geared to consume calories when we see them. After all, our bodies are highly capable of storing energy for later. The problem with this practice of "all feast no fast" takes shape in the form of diseases, namely diabetes, obesity, cancer etc. Our bodies are in constant "build" mode but never in "repair" mode. In a sense this is like being awake all day and night, without the valuable rejuvenating effects of sleep.
As a consequence of the constant building of new cells and tissue and absence of repair and self-organization, systems begin to run awry. But what can be done? The answer is simple, free, and unfathomably effective- fasting. This is largely due to a mechanism that has been highly preserved in humans known as "autophagy", a word derived from a latin root meaning "self eating". On a cellular level, this is exactly what takes place. In the absence of caloric intake, the body seeks out built up metabolic byproducts such as protein aggregates and either disposes of them or makes better use of them.
Our cells are constantly replaced, but as we age and continue a pattern defined by unabated caloric intake, the replacement of these cells becomes inefficient, and senescent cells linger. These are old cells that are no longer vital that also do biological disservice. When these cells stick around, they make surrounding cells ineffective as well. This is likely why gray hairs tend to pop up in close proximity to one another. Fasting induced autophagy has been shown to thwart these rogue cells and recycle them for use in new, properly functioning cells.
In order for autophagy to kick in, one must fast for upwards of 24 hours. The mechanism is likely exacerbated by prolonged practice (however, even short bouts of 12-16 hours have benefits). While this idea may be socially extreme, it is not biologically extreme. Our bodies are quite capable of going long periods without food. However, lest one is well versed in the complex biology of human metabolism, professional supervision is advised for fasts longer than 24 hours.

5 Awesome Tips to Add Health and Beauty to Your Aging Hair
By Ravi Patel | Submitted On March 08, 2017
Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article
As you age, the production of natural oils in your scalp decreases dramatically. And you start witnessing more dryness, brittleness and more thinness in your hair. They look more damaged and dull. Well, fret not! These are the common signs of aging hair. But the important thing to remember here is, all these hair problems can be fixed!
Here are the 5 best tips to moisturize and strengthen your aging hair. Remember, your hair can look stunning at any age.
Let's start with a healthy diet!
Indeed, the first thing you need to do is prepare a healthy diet for yourself. After all, your overall health plays a crucial role in determining the health of your hair. Add lots of green vegetables and fresh fruits in your daily diet. Drink plenty of water. Avoid eating junk foods and packaged drinks.
Eating a right amount of food that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as flaxseeds and fish can also provide the essential nutrition to your locks and make them look gorgeous again. You can also make use of flax seed oil and fish oil that are easily available out there. Eating right food and drinking enough water every day will help your scalp maintain the required moisture and will replenish your aging locks.
Take essential vitamins/supplements to replenish your hair
If eating a healthy diet isn't helping you much, you can consult your hair doctor and begin with natural supplements like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Biotin (Vitamin B complex). These supplements will help your body get the required nutrition, which will promote hair growth and get you beautiful locks.
Style up them
Talk to your hair stylist and get a right hairstyle that goes well with your aging face and mature locks. A lightly layered style will help you look younger and graceful compared to short bobs. Consider your hair type while deciding your right cut with a stylist.
Get them trimmed regularly
Hair thinning is an inevitable issue with increasing age. This is why it is even more important to get your hair trimmed at every 2-3 month. It will help you avoid irregular growth and split ends. Regular trimming will make your hair look healthier and thicker.
Choose your hair care products wisely
Whether it is your hair shampoo, conditioner or mask, make sure it is suitable for your aging hair type. You simply can't experiment with any hair care product available off-the-shelf. Find shampoos that don't contain parabens and sulfates.
If you have very dry hair, look for a good quality shampoo that contains collagen and glycerin. Give your hair deep conditioning once in a week to maintain its moisture and softness. Make use of natural oils such as coconut oil, almond oil, and argan oil for at least 2 times in a week; apply the oil before 4-6 hours of shampoo.
Some other tips you must consider,
Avoid heat treatments and chemical treatments. They rip moisture from your hair and make your hair weaker, dull and dry.
Never wash your hair with super hot water. It can strip your hair of natural oils. After shampooing, rinse your hair with cool water.
Instead of shampooing your hair more frequently, it is recommended to use a good quality dry shampoo so you can maintain the natural oil level in your hair.
If you find it irresistible to use hair styling products, make sure the one you choose is protein-infused.
Given good care, your aging hair can look healthy and gorgeous all the time!

Importance of a Liver Flush for Weight Loss
By Oge Okorie | Submitted On December 19, 2016
Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article
The liver is a very important organ located on right side of the abdomen. A healthy liver is imperative to long-term health and maintaining a healthy body weight. It is the principal organ responsible for fat-burning and therefore needs to be cleansed, or flushed, from time to time for it to function properly. When the liver is saturated with unhealthy diet choices and has been clogged with fats, pollutants and toxins, then the body becomes prone to weight gain because the liver now spends more time trying to get rid of the pollutants and toxins rather than functioning as it normally should. When your liver is overloaded with toxins, chemicals and the byproducts of excess food, it does not function properly. Everything we consume -- food, beverages, drugs and alcohol -- is processed by the liver before continuing through the other body's systems. While watching what you eat can help maintain proper liver function, periodically performing a liver flush can produce a more efficient metabolism and, as a result, you will lose weight.
It is important to flush the liver for many reasons which includes the aiding of food digestion by acting as a filter for all food and liquids consumed, according to the Center for Disease Control's Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. The liver assists in breaking down fats, retains vitamins and minerals, converts excess glucose to glycogen for storage and cleanses the blood of harmful substances, such as alcohol. According to Mamashealth.com, the liver produces about 80 percent of the cholesterol found in the body.
For the fact that the liver is typically the first organ to filter everything you consume and drink, it can become overwhelmed with fats and toxins. Even overeating can decrease liver function, because the liver stores excess food as fat. And the result of a clogged liver is weight gain. This is evident in thicker waistlines or an increase of fat around the abdomen. Flushing, or cleansing the liver, increases its ability to properly metabolize foods and liquids consumed as well as to store appropriate amounts of vitamins and minerals.
According to both Gittleman and King, one benefit of flushing the liver is weight loss, because a healthy liver's metabolic functioning is better when the liver is cleansed. A liver flush rids your body of toxins via urination and bowel movements. Plus the food you eat is burned more effectively and your body becomes leaner.
Certain foods and liquids act to detoxify and clean the liver. By detoxifying the liver, you will drop unwanted pounds as waste passes through your digestive system. Eat foods that are high in antioxidants. Antioxidants protect and repair past damage to the liver and include foods such as beets, broccoli, onions, eggs, garlic, tomatoes, lemons, oranges, pawpaw, cranberries and watermelon. Eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables will flush the liver and promote better liver function overall. Additionally, drinking eight cups of water daily helps your system flush toxins from the liver and reduces water retention, which can result in pounds lost from water weight. Finally, limit your intake of alcohol and nonessential medicines or drugs. Because everything you consume must first pass through the liver, certain medications are not easily metabolized by the liver.
Note: Always consult your doctor before adopting any change in your diet or routine. This will help you to further understand the importance of diet and liver function and the correlation of a healthy liver to weight loss.

How to Take Care of Dry Hair

Expert Author Shabir S Joosub
It's nearing the colder months of the year and because it's a change of season, your hair will start to dry out. It is important to keep your hair healthy so that it is well nourished and won't break midway through hairstyling.
There are many ways to look after your hair and to avoid it from getting dry. The rule that stylists always mention to their clients is that you should never wash your hair too often. The chemicals in the products can sometimes be harsh and will damage your hair if washed on a daily basis. Water based shampoos and oil based shampoos are the only products that can be used on a daily basis and keep the hair well nourished.
Olive oil and coconut oil are the most recommended oils for your hair in order to be healthy. These oils can be found in Palmolive Shampoo and Organic Olive Oil Sheen Spray.
Hair products with oil are made to protect the hair and the follicles so that hair can grow naturally. They have enough vitamins and minerals to keep the hair strong and moisturised in dry seasons. These products also seal split ends so that the hair won't split at the follicle. If this happens the hair would continuously split when new hair grows out.
Sheen Spray is known for increasing the elasticity in the hair and improving the hydration. The best part about having a sheen spray is that it doesn't make clean hair look greasy after application and it doesn't need to be applied like shampoo. The nature of the spray does not allow the usual bead-like drops to form when it's been sprayed in the hair.
Stylists will also always tell you to never shampoo your hair without conditioning. This is another important rule for hair care. As there are so many chemicals in the shampoos to get rid of the grease, so there has to be a product to neutralise those chemicals and soften the hair. Most cash and carry wholesalers have shampoos with their corresponding conditioners so that the right chemicals can react together.
Everyone needs to have an idea of what the winter months can do to your hair and how to counteract the effects of the dryness in the air. There is always something that can be done to achieve a hydrated look so that you don't have to keep that gorgeous hair under a hat.
J&E Cash 'n Carry is one of South Africa's biggest wholesalers in the following categories of products: Cosmetics, Groceries, Sweets, Personal Care, Household, Health, Beauty, Baby, Hardware, Electric & Stationery. We supply traders only, and offer the highest standards of service, the cheapest deals, and the best buying experience.
Visit our website and call us on 012 327 5000 or email info@jecc.co.za.

Have you ever bought perfume in a store? If so, did you like the scent? How much did it cost? Believe it or not, the ingredients of the perfume you bought actually costs about 10% of the product's retail price. All the other cost went into the perfume's packaging, sales profit, advertising as well as tax.
Wouldn't it be a lot better if your hard-earned money is put into a truly essential exotic oil which you could actually afford, and one which you made yourself?
The choice of perfume is usually based on the following idea: if you would be a perfume, would this be actually you?
Though buying essential oils may cost you more than the usual dollars, relax. These oils only require two drops or less yet it would be enough to infuse a whole bottle of luxuriously rich perfume. Using essential jasmine oil is an example. Unlike the other bottled perfumes bought in stores, your own home-made perfume is authentically yours and you are definitely sure yours is the real one.
Naturally made, naturally you
The benefit of making your own perfume is that you get to maintain and preserve its natural concentrate. There is no room for preservatives and unnatural chemicals going into your precious skin. Though there is no guarantee that essential oils would not react with your body, it is always best to sample an essential oil before using it.
Create your own perfume formula
An expensive essential oil is usually packaged in bottles that are of different sizes, ranging from gallons to drams. The size of a dram is similar to a tube size sample used in various stores. These drams are perfect for testing oils in order to see if you are allergic to them or not.
It is a fact that the strength of the liquid you use on your own perfume depends a lot on the essential oil ratio to alcohol and water. The strongest among these is the perfume. Usually about between fifteen to thirty percent of essential exotic oil must be used. Then, alcohol should be about seventy to eighty five percent.
The remaining five percent is vodka, preferably 100 proof. Believe it or not, Brandy could also be used. However, it has an aroma that is so distinct that problems might exist when it is blended with the oils.
If colors are to be added, using natural and quality food vegetable dye is advisable. The bottles to be used must also be sterilized.
Also, it would be best if the bottles to be used are not the clear, transparent glasses as these attracts light. However, if you see the need to display your perfume creations, it would be best to keep the rest in a darker and separate container.
Record your formula
It is important that the formulas you make for your perfume is recorded appropriately. Be aware though that a mere drop of exotic essential oil could actually change the whole perfume formula.
Example, though you know you put in vanilla, ylang-ylang and jasmine yet you have no idea if it was two drops, three, four, it would be difficult to determine how you were able to create that masterpiece.
It would be easy therefore to have to look back on something with assurance and validity.
All in all, making a home made perfume is easy and a whole lot affordable in the long term.
