Best Oils to Use in an Anti-Aging Serum and How to Make Your Own

What is an anti-aging oil serum?
An anti-aging oil serum is a blend of plant oils, which work synergistically to reverse the effects of skin aging.
Used for centuries throughout the world to treat skin, facial oil serums are just starting to make a name for themselves, and rightfully so. If you tend to think of oils as the enemy of a clear complexion, you may be missing out on great products for your skin. Counter-intuitive as it may sound, using an oil serum can actually have amazing benefits for your skin.
Why use it?
Skin pollution is the main source of damage to the skin. Stress, fatigue, polluted air and water, makeup, UV radiation create millions of toxins and free-radicals that accumulate on the skin, suffocating your complexion, causing breakouts and speeding up the aging process.
Facial oils are the fastest way to fortify and strengthen our own natural skin barrier, restoring the skin's first defense against skin pollution. If properly chosen, cold-pressed plant oils boost radiance, give much needed moisture, and can help fight breakouts and discoloration. Oils have the capacity to deliver antioxidants, vitamins and omega fatty acids deeper into the skin, delivering results you will most likely notice after the first application.
Best Anti-aging Oils
These are a few of my favourites carrier oils to use in a blend, since they are rich in anti-aging compounds such as essential fatty acids, antioxidants, flavonoids, polyphenols and vitamins. Easily absorbed into the skin, they will nourish and help to refine mature, aging skin.
Argan oil
Lovingly referred to as Liquid Gold by the people of Morocco, Argan is an excellent oil for use in skin care and for treating problem skin. Light and capable of penetrating the skin without feeling greasy, this oil is considered anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing. Palmitic Acid in this oil (12-14%) has antimicrobial properties, protecting the skin from unwanted penetration of environmental substances. Oleic Acid (Omega 9), present in a high percentage (45-47%), helps maintain the suppleness, flexibility and softness of the skin.
Pomegranate Oil
This rare oil softens and rejuvenates by promoting healthy new cell growth, nourishing dry and mature skin types. It contains punicic acid at 75%, a highly nutritious fatty acid for the skin, able to balance pH and condition the skin's surface. This fatty acid is anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and cell regenerating, helping to increase elasticity of the skin and repair sun and weather damage. Other acids contained in this oil are gallic and ellagic acid. Gallic acid heals wounds and soothes burns, while ellagic acid protects and rebuilds collagen and provides added thickness to thin skin.
Red Raspberry Oil
Red Raspberry oil is exceptionally light and sinks into the surface of the skin quickly, creating a dry, but moisturized feel. Very high in Vitamin E and provitamin A, this oil has been identified as having potential for sun protection. Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) - found at 52% in Red Raspberry oil - plays a crucial role in maintaining the barrier and passage functions of the skin. Oils high in Linoleic Acid absorb quickly and deeply into the skin layers. The quick absorption carries additional plant nutrients into the layers of the skin to nourish and condition the cells. Red Raspberry oil is also high in Alpha-Linoleic Acid (Omega 3) that helps relieve itching, redness and irritation of the skin.
Meadowfoam seed oil
This oil naturally helps your skin to form a barrier to lock in moisture and deliver nutrients deep into your epidermis. It has wonderful moisturizing and rejuvenating properties and is probably the best oil to help prevent moisture loss. Gadoleic Acid, contained at 61%, is a very-long-chain Omega 9 monosaturated fatty acid that protects the skin's outer layer of the skin from damage by oxidation.
Camellia Oil
Also known as Tea Seed Oil, this oil has been popular in Japan for thousands of years and is responsible for the peachy skin and long nails of Japanese women. It is high in monounsaturated oleic acid (80%), which gives it excellent skin-conditioning properties. This oil doesn't clog pores or leave an oily feel, due to tannins present in the seeds. Able to rejuvenate and maintain moisture, its protective polyphenols, vitamins A, B, C and E and other antioxidants also protect the skin from UV and environmental exposure.
Hazelnut Oil
High in oleic acid (75%), with a smaller amount of linoleic acid (11%), hazelnut oil is able to penetrate the skin with proteins, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Its tannin content stimulates skin circulation and helps to reduce and shrink the size and visibility of thread veins. As one of the vegetable oils high in unsaturated fatty acids, it is good for moisturizing and softening.
Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil
This oil has the ability to promote regeneration of skin cells and mucous membranes, heal wounds and ease pain. Its powerful orange colour is due to its high concentration in provitamin A carotenes and carotenoids, which protects against damaging UV exposure. Vitamin E tocopherols, vitamin C and flavonoids, vitamin B1, B2 and K, as well as essential fatty acids and phytosterols, make sea buckthorn an exceptionally nourishing ingredient in caring for the skin.
Essential Oils
Your serum can be taken to the next level by adding a few drops of essential oils such as Frankincense, Copaiba, Helichrysum, Clary Sage or Patchouli, which have skin-toning and anti-aging properties. Due to their small molecules, essential oils can penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, where they release powerful antioxidant, anti-bacterial and rejuvenating compounds.
How to make the serum?
Pick a few favourite carrier and essential oils and blend them in a beaker, then pour the blend into a dark bottle with a dropper.
How to apply the serum?
For a more intensive or spot treatment, use the serum alone. Rub a few drops between your palms and very gently massage them into your freshly cleansed and still wet face, neck and cleavage. Having your face wet will help the oils to be absorbed quicker and deeper into the skin, and won't leave your face feeling greasy. For extra beneficial ingredients, cleanse your face with a toner, then apply the serum while the skin is still wet.
You can also mix a couple of drops with your favorite moisturizer, so it can infuse your skin throughout the day or night, apply as a primer to create a perfect canvas for makeup application or add a drop in your foundation to give it a treatment effect.

Paying attention to your nails says a lot about you and really adds to your overall look. The nails are impossible to hide when you're out and about, you wan them looking representable and beautiful at all time. All this is well and good but getting professional manicures frequently can really do a number on your budget. Professional services like designs with nail art gel and 3D nail art can be very expensive but you still have to take care of your nails. A good way to cut costs is by doing it yourself.
It takes some tools and practice, but you can handle your own manicure if you have the time. What if you have an unfortunate problem of shaky hands and you get making mistakes and leaving ugly streaks on your nail polish application? There is a solution for that too, and they are called nail wraps. The art and manicure newbie will fell right at home with these wraps as the process for application is quite simple and straightforward. They are so easy to apply it is actually shocking. After this post, you are going to wonder why you haven't been using this all your life. Follow these easy steps to get a perfect manicure easily.
Prepare your nails
To prepare your nails for the wraps, take your best sheer base coat and apply diligently on every nail. You can get a base coat rich in minerals and vitamins so your nails will be strengthened while underneath the wrap. Wait for the base coat to dry.
Size your nails to the wraps
From the pack, select the best fitting wraps for each of your nails. This s to ensure everything fits nicely and isn't under or oversized. Preparing this will also help to cut down your manicure time once you start.
Stick them on
You are going to peel the nail wraps off from the edges. Let the rounded edge of the wrap face your cuticle. You will align that rounded edge to your cuticle o make sure it fits perfectly and won't lift after application. After aligning, press down the wrap starting from the cuticle, moving towards the tip of your nails. Press down carefully and securely to avoid bubbles from forming. This step will be repeated on every nail until all ten are complete. If you are using wraps as an accent, do this only on some nails and pain the rest with the polish of your choice.
File
With a nail file, buff the wrap that sticks out after application to your nails. Don't use upward strokes but maintain a downward motion all the time. His will help maintain smoothness instead of resulting in jagged edges that don't look good.
Seal the wraps
Your wraps are set to go like this but a top coat will help in sealing them in. select a sheer top coat that will not change the color and design of your wraps. Your wraps will stay on for longer when you do this. Add some shimmer with that top coat if you lease.
See how easy it is? Who needs complicated nail art gel and hours of slaving away to achieve spectacular nails when you can use wraps? If this is going to transform your entire nail art collection, share it with a friend and enjoy the ease of manicure together.

Best Ways To Repair Your Broken or Split Nails
By Carlton Mansour | Submitted On May 09, 2016

Use Crazy Glue
These glues can be used to a split in your nails, or you can use to re-affix a broken off one. Use sparingly, as this glue makes a bond instantly and drips will harden into bumps on your nail. But you should remember that this active chemical can make your nails surface weak so apply carefully and avoid any unnecessary split into the surface of the nail. You can use a small amount to break, wiping the excess glue off by using a good quality remover if possible. If the broken part of the nail is getting separate from the base, slowly lift the broken part of the nail by using an orange stick and then apply the glue slowly to the both inside edges of the nail and then press the two peace's together.
Special Mender Procedure
For most split and breaks it is strongly recommended the following method. It will work the best for you. You can go through the crazy glue or not; it depends on how bad the split or break is and how much extensive works your hands are needed to do. But the glue does not add strength to your patch. Here is the best mender procedure to protect your broken nails.
You should start with clean, oil-free as well as lotion free nails. If possible then use one of the nail mender kits which include fibrous paper and a nail mending liquid or you can also use tea bag paper. Now cut a strip of nail mender paper large enough so that it will able to cover your break and wrap under the tip of the nail. Now apply a coat of the liquid mender to the bare nail. Use the brush applicator provided, saturate the mender paper with the fluid. Then it is the time to apply saturated paper to the break. Wrap it very smoothly as you can by using an orange stick. Now give it some time and make it dry and reapply a coat of nail mender liquid. Let it dry and again repeat the finger smoothing process. This will give you a smooth nail with a hard surface. If the break is huge, you have to repeat the full process with an additional piece of mending paper that you place in the opposite direction of the first.
Use Cotton and Other Patches
A small piece of rolled cotton at the sides and tucked under the nail offers even best strength than nail mender paper but paper is harder to apply by yourself. Some manicurists also recommend fine handkerchief linen, tea bag paper or coffee filter paper. The process mentioned above can be used with any of these. Silk wraps are also a good available option. These have adhesive backs and so are easier to apply. Although silk wraps have had a bad rap option for years.
Emergency Repair
If you split a nail and don't have mender or paper, then you can go through the crazy glue to the split. Then saturate a little piece of facial tissue with a base coat of clear polish. Now apply it to your nails, as above. It will hold your nails till you can use one of the stronger aids. Another good way is mending tape. If you are in a hurry then no need to do extensive works for your nails. Just cover your break by using mending tape. Your nail enamel colour will show through it.
This method mentioned above can help you repair your broken or split nails. Use the tricks and suggest to your friends.
If you like nail design or like to show your creativity on your nails, then Revel Nail is the best option for you. It is a well-known nail product company in the USA. It offers the best quality product with varieties of the list. Whatever you like, it may sns powder gel nails or acrylic nails, get everything from Revel Nail.

Make Your Skin Look Right and Tight to Celebrate Valentine's Day

Anti-Aging Treatments
Many treatments and procedures are available for women to undergo and gain a more youthful appearance. A few of the more drastic procedures involve plastic surgery to tighten loose skin around the neck, eyes, or stomach. However, while many women are not against the idea of undergoing surgical facelifts and tummy tucks, other individuals prefer less invasive ways to improve their appearances and fight ageing.
Mechanical Facelifts and Tummy Tucks
Thanks to modern technology, you can have a facelift or tummy tuck to tighten skin without going under the knife. Machines such as the soniXsmooth HIFU facelifting machine use ultrasound technology to penetrate through the skin's layers to trigger collagen growth. As women age, collagen production slows significantly and causes their skin to sag. However, after just one session, a high-intensity focused ultrasound machine (HIFU) begins tightening the saggy skin.
HIFU machines produce low heat levels that penetrate the skin to stimulate collagen production and repair soft tissues. The machine tightens skin and makes it more elastic, which helps it bounce back into shape. If you want to look your best while celebrating St. Valentine's Day with your spouse, a HIFU machine can tighten the sagging skin around your stomach and waist, so you look right and tight.
Locations on the Body
The HIFU machine can be used to tighten any areas of the skin that sag, so your skin glows and your clothes fit right. The treatments are usually applied to the areas near the forehead and eyebrows, around the chin, the neck and around the stomach. Along with tightening skin, it can also brighten the area, so it does not look dull.
Dull skin often makes you appear older. However, if you tighten and brighten the troublesome areas, you can bring back some of your youthful glow. Whether you have excess skin around your stomach and waist due to weight loss or ageing, a HIFU machine can tighten it, so you can purchase a unique dress for a special Valentine's Day with your husband or boyfriend. Since it is not surgery, you will not have to wait and have these treatments once again to have a tight, sexy body.
Although several sessions are necessary in order to completely tighten sagging skin and regain its youthful appearance, it will look better after the first session. A HIFU machine can also diminish the appearance of stretch marks, soften fine lines and wrinkles, and reduce the size of skin pores. To get your body ready for a special Valentine's Day celebration, you should have HIFU treatments, so your body looks right and tight in lingerie.
