Reasons to Have Semi-Permanent Make-Up Treatment

Some people have semi-permanent make-up treatment to change or enhance their natural features, others find it the ideal choice if they have poor eyesight, have medical conditions such as alopecia or suffer with neurological weakness or tremors. Anyone finding it difficult to apply make-up evenly every day will benefit hugely.
Lip liner - when we apply lip liner it makes them seem fuller, giving your lips definition and colour.
Eyebrows - semi-permanent make-up can thicken, redefine or lengthen the look of your eyebrows.
Eyeliner - gives a subtle lash enhancement or a definite line, making your eyes look bigger and wider.
We can create many looks and styles, with all treatments tailored for each individual client. Every procedure takes into account the shape of your face, your style and your desired look. Depending on your skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle, semi-permanent make-up can last for many years, although over time the colour will fade, and we recommend a top every 18 months to keep the colour looking fresh.
Some of the benefits of semi-permanent makeup:
It saves time for busy mothers and professional women.
Helps to improve the look of sparse, fair-haired or poorly shaped eyebrows.
Stays on the face and looking good at the gym or the swimming pool.
Helps those suffering with alopecia, or hair loss through medical problems.
Gives you back lost shape and definition.
It can help to achieve symmetrical eyebrows.
It's ideal for those who are sensitive to make-up.
People who suffer from poor eyesight or shaky hands.
Ladies with unsymmetrical or uneven features.
Treatment is skilfully designed and tailored to suit each persons needs.
Semi-permanent make-up is safe and hygienic. Topical anaesthetic cream gets applied to deal with any minor discomfort, and then it's applied quickly and easily and is almost pain-free. For the first few days mild redness and swelling may occur, but you can go back to normal everyday activity directly after the treatment.
After treatment
It's very important not to touch or pick the treated area, as even clean hands can introduce dirt and germs onto the skin which can mean infection, and might create scar tissue. If you pick at the scabs it will take away the colour from the treated area, leaving a patchy final result. We can correct any patchy areas at a later appointment, however, if the scab gets picked and comes off too soon it will expose the skin and infection could occur. It's also advisable to keep the area completely dry for a couple of days after your treatment.

Hair Loss And Its Common Causes

Expert Author Dr. Pran Rangan
Hair is the second fast growing tissue in the body only after bone marrow. Hair grows about 1 to 1.5 cm every month. On average, the lifespan of a human hair is 2 to 7 years.
Kids lose on average 90 hairs everyday, which rises to 120 by old age. Most people normally shed 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually doesn't cause noticeable thinning of scalp hair because new hair is growing at the same time.
The following are some of the common causes of hair loss:
Heredity - It is the most common cause of hair loss and occurs gradually in a predictable pattern such as male pattern or female pattern baldness, which is receding hairline and baldness spots in men and thinning hair in women respectively. Heredity also affects the age at which one begins to lose hair, the rate of hair loss and the extent of baldness.
Medical conditions -
Hormonal changes - Hormonal changes and imbalances can cause temporary hair loss. Women frequently lose more hair two to three months after delivery due to the secretion of more estrogen hormone during pregnancy. Hormone levels are also affected by the thyroid gland, so thyroid problems may cause it.
Scalp infections - An unhealthy scalp can cause inflammation, resulting in hair fall. Skin conditions that lead to hair loss include seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff), psoriasis, and fungal infections such as ringworm. Once infections are treated, hair generally grows back.
Alopecia areata - Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks hair follicles. It occurs equally in men and women. The cause is unknown, but it may be triggered by stress or illness.
Iron deficiency anemia - This is one of important causes especially in those who don't eat iron rich food. Since red blood cells transport oxygen to cells throughout body, hair follicles are deprived of oxygen in people having anemia.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome - The condition, which can begin as early as age 11, is caused by a hormonal imbalance in which the ovaries produce too many male hormones.
Lupus - Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body's own immune system attacks healthy tissues including skin besides other parts of the body. It can cause hair loss. The condition affects about 1.5 million people and tends to strike women during their childbearing years.
Lack of protein - If a person isn't get enough protein in diet, the body may ration protein by shutting down hair growth. So one shouldn't neglect the adequate intake of this essential macronutrient.
Sudden weight loss - Sudden weight loss is a form of physical trauma that can result in thinning hair. Loss of hair along with noticeable weight loss may also be a sign of an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia.
Medications - Hair loss can be caused by drugs used for cancer, arthritis, depression, heart problems, high blood pressure and birth control. Intake of too much vitamin A may cause it as well. Chemotherapy destroys rapidly dividing cancer cells but simultaneously it may also destroy rapidly dividing cells like hair.
Other causes -
Over styling - Vigorous styling and hair treatments over the years can cause hair to fall out. As these practices can actually affect the hair root, so hair might not grow back.
Trichotillomania - Trichotillomania is an impulse control disorder, causing people to compulsively pull their hair out. It's sort of like a tic that the person is constantly playing and pulling their hair, which unfortunately can result in hair loss. Trichotillomania often begins before the age of 17 and is four times as common in women as in men. The condition requires specialized treatment.
The bottom line -
Hair loss is one of the commonest problems most of us have and, therefore, we run from pillar to post to find its treatment. Sometimes, we may be able to arrest hair loss if we come across a good expert but, many a time, we fail to control it. The above listed causes will give us a general understanding why hair loss takes place. And this may help us avoid things or medicines that initiate to cause hair loss.
Hair loss is a universal problem because almost everyone has it sometime in one's life. If we now its causes, we will be able to manage it well as well as the stress and anxiety associated with it.

Diamond Earrings to Enjoy Sparkling Years
By Satvik Mittal | Submitted On November 01, 2016

It is the dream of every girl and woman to be able to own a pair of diamond earrings that she can flaunt on her wedding day, or any special day or maybe every single day as we increasingly adopt the adage, every day is a special day.
Today diamonds are easy to buy, thanks to online jewelry stores who have kept up with the changing times and claim to provide a shopping experience that is a genuine and attractive option to actually stepping out to buy.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DIAMONDS
There are 4 Cs associated with buying diamonds, cut, color, clarity and carat.
Carat is the weight of the diamond. The diamond weight could be expressed as a fraction of a carat, as it is quite rare to find large stones.
The cut is by far the most important feature, as it determines the sparkle of the diamond. Cut is all about how light enters the diamond, bounces off its various dimensions and leaves, leaving behind a trail of brilliance and fire (as the white and rainbow colors are referred to respectively).
Color of diamonds - White is considered the purest of diamonds, but the color is difficult to distinguish when it has been set in metal. The Gemological Institute and the Gemological Society of America have standardized grading scales where the grade is set for each color.
Clarity - Almost all diamonds have inclusions or some impurity that may be very difficult for even a trained grader to discern, or they may be such that they spoil the brilliance by losing the transparency of the diamond. The clarity grade is set by a competent grader while viewing the diamond under a ten power magnification.
Buying diamonds and buying them online.
It is easy to buy diamonds from your reputed jeweler. Maybe you could take along someone who has bought them before. When buying online, the highest rated gemological laboratory in the country has the following guidelines:
1. Know about the 4cs - research a little more than what is given above on the subject
2. Look for specifics on the 4Cs rather than a range
3. For diamonds graded by a particular gemological laboratory, there should be an accompanying Grading Report
4. Do some research on the seller
· Is it a reputed company
· How long has it been in business
· What are the customer reviews like
· Does it belong to any diamond jewelry trade associations? ( associations call upon members to follow certain ethical guidelines)
· Do they offer secure money transactions
· Is the customer service satisfactory?
· Do they have a return policy in place, where is the seller located?
· What is the mode of shipment and do they offer shipment insurance?
5. Buy from a retailer within your own country. Retailers abroad may not be subject to your country's laws, should the transaction go awry for some reason and you need recourse.
6. Once you have your diamond in hand, get it appraised by an expert who can also pin down its value for insurance purposes.
DIAMOND TREATS, is a UK based online diamond jewelry retailer satisfying all the conditions mentioned above apart from providing a delectable range of diamond hoop earrings, diamond cluster earrings, diamond studs and other gemstone jewelry.

The Historic and Luxury Brand Known As Breitling

For some people owning a piece of history can mean collecting old antiques and trinkets; this could be an old dressing table, a timeless piece of art to hang on the wall or be as simple as collecting salt and pepper pots that our ancestors would have used.
The need to own something from our history can comfort us and make us feel at one with our ancestors and days gone by. Many of us will invest huge amounts of money to ensure we get that all important collectable item to show off with the rest of our collection.
There are hundreds of auction houses who specialise in selling particular valuable and collectable items. There are auction houses who only sell fine pieces of art and auction houses which will only sell extremely valuable jewellery, watches and fine clothing.
The recent trend with collectors all across the world is the exciting and valuable world of jewellery and watches. If you are a jewellery collector, you may collect a range of different types of jewellery or you may just be passionate about a particular item.
You maybe passionate about, tiaras, rings, bracelets or diamond earrings. If you are a col-lector passionate about diamond rings, imagine the possibilities you have to own a piece of history.
The most expensive items ever sold at auction include a pink round diamond ring which sold for $46.2 million, the step cut diamond weighed in at 24.78 carat. The diamond ring still holds the record as the most expensive piece of jewellery sold at auction.
However, not everyone has that much to spend on their piece. You can still easily own a piece of diamond history for as little as a few hundred pounds. Adding to your collection will take time and money, but owning a watch or piece of jewellery is an investment in the future. Owning a piece of history to appreciate in the future.
If watches are your passion, you will be spoilt for choice. Watches have been an integral part of history, with the first wrist watch dating back to 1868 and was introduced by well known swiss watch maker Patek Philippe. The watch was launched specifically for women to wear.
A Patek Philippe watch was one of the most expensive watches sold at auction; it was bought for $11 million at a Sotheby's auction in December 1999. It is also known as the most complicated watch ever made.
A close competitor of Patek Philippe is the swiss watchmaker Breitling. Founded in 1884, the brand soon followed with launching their own creation of beautiful and luxury watches.
Breitling was first known for creating chronographs for use in science and sports, but decided their skills could also be put to commercial use. Breitling watches are now well recognised and appreciated all over the world.
Breitling watches are unique in design and build. The first wrist watch featured a chrono-graph that wearers could use to time successive events by pressing the start and stop but-tons, this was a new and exciting feature for the owner.
Breitling watches have revolutionized over time and all modern watches now include a certified chronometer, the wearer can feel like they are wearing a piece of the companies original design and history.
The watch industry is huge business with many brands and companies offering the rich and famous a chance to own a piece of handmade perfection. You will often see celebrities with the next 'must have' watch.
If you are looking to invest in owning a piece of the passed and present, consider a Breitling watch, as not only will you be wearing a piece of watch making perfection but you will be the envy of friends and fellow collectors.

What Are HPHT Diamonds and Why You Really Want One
By Gerry Hauser | Submitted On December 19, 2016

Expert Author Gerry Hauser
If you have been shopping for an engagement ring or an impressive diamond, you're sure to have realized the prices diamonds with VVS2+ clarity and D-G colors are bringing. We all fantasize about flaunting a rock with these characteristics, and also believe that they are well out of reach.
Not true. While a traditional diamond with these qualities can be priced in the hundreds of thousands, depending on the carat size, you can obtain a natural diamond, not a synthetic, with intrinsic ultra-high clarities and high color from $10k to under $200k.
It's a secret many jewelers invested in traditional diamonds do not want you to know.
In a nutshell, GIA Certified Natural HPHT (High Pressure, High Temperature) diamonds are genuine, gem-quality diamonds that have been mined from the earth and have gone through a permanent, non-invasive HPHT process to enhance their color. They are derived from the same volcanic sources as all other diamonds.
Did you know there are different types of diamonds? Type 2a diamonds are one example, and they are the only kind that can undergo the HPHT process. This is because their structural integrity is top-notch and can endure the immense heat and pressure conditions of this permanent color transforming technique. Read more about the HPHT process.
Now, a white, fully crystallized Type 2a diamond will fetch mega-bucks. Whether you're a fan of them or not, to give you perspective on the cost, Kim Kardashian's multi-million dollar diamond from Kanye West is a Type 2a, D color diamond. So how does it make sense that an HPHT diamond (which is also Type 2a and can be D in color), can be within reach for you?
The difference is that a natural diamond that has undergone the HPHT process doesn't come out of the ground white, like Kim's. Instead, it originated with a brownish hue before it was permanently enhanced to a white color with high pressure, high temperature. But wait a second, why would you want one?
You LOVE Clarity
If given a choice, you would go for flawless, even VVS2. A natural HPHT diamond is born with extremely high clarity. Typical grades range from VVS2 to flawless, with rare occurrences of VS2.
You Want 5 Carats for the Price of 3
Because the original color was not white, you pay less per carat. Another example is a 3 carat diamond versus the price of a 1.80 carat with similar characteristics.
You Want Stunning, Top-Tier Grades
GIA Certified Natural HPHT diamonds tend to have the most desirable characteristics in a diamond; top color from D-H, and top clarity ranging from VVS2 to Flawless. In addition, Hadar Diamonds are all cut beautifully by generations of cutting artisans, leading to exorbitant levels of sparkle and luster. It is difficult to determine, even under extremely high magnification, the difference between an HPHT diamond and a traditionally marketed diamond.
You Want GIA Certification
The GIA (Gemological Institute of America) deems natural HPHT diamonds to be stable and permanent. With a GIA Certified natural HPHT diamond, you receive verification from the most stringent and respected diamond authority on diamond grading.
The Supply is Limited
The Type 2a diamond from which a natural HPHT diamond comes from makes up only ½ % of all diamonds mined. Therefore, we believe the demand will continue to increase, while quantities decrease. Although we are not investment advisors nor give investment advice, we believe there will be a favorable long-term return on these types of diamonds.
Over the past few years we have seen a higher demand for natural HPHT diamond from couples and sophisticated diamond buyers alike. We are also seeing the preference for HPHT diamonds among individuals who could otherwise afford a traditional diamond with top-tier specifications.
We encourage you to learn more and watch actual videos so you can see what a natural HPHT diamond from Hadar Diamonds looks like.
