11 Fashion Tips on How to Look Slimmer

1. Buy clothes that fit. Don't wear anything that makes bulges or rolls stick out.
2. Don't be in a size illusion - if you are size 16 don't pretend you're a 14. Own your size! In certain makes and styles you might even be a size bigger - forget the number ensure the fit is right.
3. Try clothes while sitting down. Most of the day at work is spent sitting down - this is when all kinds of things happen that normally won't standing up. The skirt hemline rises too high up, rolls protrude from the side, shirts bulge open.
4. Apply vertical colour dressing. Create the illusion of vertical length by dressing in a single color or shades of from head to toe. One color will help to de-emphasize problem areas by elongating your silhouette. E.g. outer vertical line colour - a solid colour jacket left open, paired with pants of the same colour or inside vertical line - a top and matching colour bottom with contrast colour jacket.
5. Beware light & bright- these colours will enlarge a particular area. If you are larger from the waist down select your dark colours to be placed at the bottom - lighter colours on top.
6. Get Vertical. Making use of vertical line & design in clothing will create the illusion of a slimmer you.
• You can visually slim down by 10 kg's (22 lb's) with every vertical line you make use of.
• The most effective vertical line is one that will divide an area of your body in 2 equal halves e.g. a crease down the center of a pair of pants, a row of buttons, a zipper, a seam.
• Select vertical patterns and prints
• Fluid fabrics that skim curves rather than stretch or heavy fabrics.
• To help elongate the neck, wear tops with an open neckline such as v-necks.
7. Keep it high. Wear a high eye catching accessory, hair do or collar detail. Wearing something high on the body, draws the eye upwards, this ensures the illusion of height and slimness.
8. Wear the right underwear. Buy a body sculptor- sucks everything in and makes you look kg's slimmer. Get your bra measured - the correct fitted bra can make you look thinner.
9. Discover your personal style and display it with confidence! The key to selecting a great outfit is knowing what your style is.
10. Wear heels.
• Wearing at least a 1″ / 5cm heel helps to elongate your legs making you look slimmer.
• Stay away from thick soles and platforms if you have heavy lower leg rather go for a medium to thin sole that will create a more flattering and balanced effect.
• If you want to make your legs look slim buy a shoe with a longer length toe end. A square or round short toe end will make your leg appear shorter and chunkier. A longer rounder toe (it does not have to be pointy) will make the leg appear slimmer.
11. Carry the right bag size. A petite handbag will make your figure appear larger. For plus-size figures a larger structured or boxy bag will balance out the curves.
• Take care with the strap length. Where you end your bag will accentuate that feature, ending a bag on your hip will emphasize them. Safest bet is to nestle your bag into your waist.
Just because there is more of you it does not mean you need to hide under dull, baggy clothes! Remember BIG on BIG = BIGGER.
I encourage you to have the confidence to show off your curvy figure with new style and flair.

Do You Meet the Criteria of Plus-Size Modeling?

Plus-size models are in great demand for plus-size fashion and designer lines and many other types of modeling. They are also more representative of the general population and can resonate more with larger than average sized people.
Size Requirements
Depending on the style of modeling you want to do, your size requirements would vary accordingly. For fashion and runway modeling there are strict requirements because of the high end fashion reputation that fashion designers want to uphold. You would be seeing a height of 170cm to 185cm and a body size of UK12-18 for print collaterals, 10-22 for runway (client's decision), and size 18 for fitness modeling. These requirements are slightly more relaxed in commercial modeling (television commercials, catalogs, promotional events etcetera) which are negotiated through on a case-by-case basis, however in general models that are chosen fit the requirements.
Nevertheless, if you do find yourself somewhat near the numbers and specifications of curvy models, there is no harm trying out.
Your Character and Personality
This is an often unspoken requirement in modeling, but is vital to whether or not modeling will work out for you. A practical measure of your interest and character in this industry is your punctuality. Model agencies and clients are very busy in any given day with multiple models, clients and issues to deal with. You should also be a flexible person schedule-wise. You should be willing to accommodate projects that come to you at different timings and have good time management skills.
With a good sense of timing you should bring along with you a positive vibe and a likeable personality. This is because you will be working with many different people such as photographers, makeup artists, clients, model managers and bookers in order to successfully complete your modeling project. Thus, you would need to have a personality that helps you get along with these people, or else you will have a hard time.
Exercise Regularly and Lead a Healthy Lifestyle
There is no escape from a healthy lifestyle for any model. Models of all sizes equally have to put in the necessary effort to make sure the body's specific physique is maintained. For layers of fat that are hanging loose, there is a need to firm it up and tone the muscles at that area. A plus-size model should ideally have a firm and bold body. Along with that your diet should be looked after well too. Make sure unhealthy fast and fried food are kept to minimal amounts and wholesome protein, fruits and vegetables are consumed on a regular basis to give you're a healthy skin glow.
The most important criteria will always be confidence. Plus-size models have a much stronger presence with a fuller body. A confident pose and aura works better than makeup and brings the best out of the model.
Apply to a modeling agency with good clear pictures and a resume which brings out your enthusiastic personality and also, seek some input from Create Talents and Models you will be surely on your way to a successful modeling career.

Eyes speak a thousand words without uttering one and definitely, eyelashes play a remarkable role in making your eyes impressive and rather attractive. However, thin or misshaped eyelashes can spoil overall facial appeal and make you look a dork among all others. Availability of eyelash extensions salon services offer is a cosmetic procedure. Trained therapists at salon provide numerous choices of designs, colors, lengths, curls, thicknesses, and shapes. However, it all comes at a price followed by a list of do's and don'ts. Therefore, it is essential to understand them prior to heading to the salon for eyelash extensions for that killing feminine look missing from your attitude.
Dos and Don'ts You Probably Do not Know About
Various myths are associated with eyelash extensions and typically, people who do not follow the post procedural methods meticulously spread them. For an example, pasting extension is the most common method of applying them. Therefore, you cannot drench them in water for the first 24 or 48 hours. People ignoring the basics land up with improper result and thus starts the spread of the myth. Here are some do's and don'ts you ought to consider for lasting result and zero inconvenience.
Avoid contact with water at least for first 24 to 48 hours. This helps in proper adhesion of extensions. Contact with water may weaken bonding resulting in improper adhesion.
Avoid direct use of shampoo, hair conditioner, or oil based creams with the extensions. It will spoil the texture and overall appeal of the eyelashes. Your eyelash extensions salon services specialist is the right person to advice on that.
Never pull eyelash extensions on your own. Pulling them may cause you to lose your natural eyelashes fully or partly. Well, you have the option to undergo extensive eyelash rehabilitation you do not need otherwise.
Ask your salon specialist for additional or special care and follow those steps meticulously. Adhering to the instructions help you in gaining lasting results.
Wait for extensions to fall on their own or visit eyelash extensions salon services to remove them professionally. Impulsive actions can cause injury.
Visit your salon to attend touch up schedules without fail. Eyelash extensions last a month or month and a half. You need to maintain them properly for the vibrant look you have always craved for.
Flaunt and freak out, go out and impress people around you. No one can stop you when you are on it. Yes, wearing makeup is no huge deal. Do not forget to remove it with caution without disturbing the extensions.

Why Is Breast Reduction Surgery Necessary And What Are The Risks?
By Mehta Shreya | Submitted On November 23, 2016
Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article
In breast reduction surgery, some part of the tissue and skin from the breast is removed so that the size of the breast reduces and it can be shaped too. It is a simple procedure where a surgeon makes a cut and removes excess tissue as well as skin and closes the cut with stitches. Sometimes the nipple and the areola need to be removed and repositioned after the surgery. If most of the breast consists of fatty tissue, liposuction is used along with surgery. Typically general anesthesia is used and the surgery takes around three to four hours.
Why?
Most of the times, breast reduction surgery is performed to change the size, weight, firmness and shape of the breasts. Here are a few reasons why many women undergo this surgery:
Usually, large, heavy breasts can cause back ache. They are known to cause neck pain too. This sometimes also results in posture problems. Many undergo this surgery to simply feel comfortable.
Some women undergo this surgery to alter their appearance. When breasts grow out of proportion to your height and weight, it causes a lot of self-consciousness and you feel physically and emotionally uncomfortable.
The results of a breast reduction surgery are generally permanent. The only reasons they might get larger again are due to pregnancy, weight gain or weight loss.
Risks
Some of the most common risks of this surgery are:
Scars: This type of surgery requires an incision on the breasts and will definitely leave a scar. But, how bad the scar is depends upon the type of incision and varies from person to person. Initially these scars look red and swollen, but typically fade over a period of time. In some women, these scars remain noticeable.
Many times, unevenly positioned nipples or breasts may not turn out to be the same size or shape.
Loss of feeling in the breast or nipples is often seen as another risk. This condition is often temporary, but may last for a few months. For some women, it may last for a longer period of time and may seem almost permanent.
Inability to breast feed is another major risk of this surgery. Depending on the type of surgery done, some women may be able to continue breastfeeding.
Some of the other less-common risks include damage to the blood supply that greatly delays the healing process. Excessive bleeding can occur during surgery. Sometimes there could be infection around the area where the incision is made. Blood clots could occur in large veins that travel up to the heart and lungs.
Many of the risks are serious and some of them are even life threatening. Breast reduction surgery hence requires careful consideration and many a times it is considered only when it is medically necessary in order to reduce back pain, skin problems or other physical problems caused by heavy breasts and not solely to change appearances.
Aesthetic Clinic provides Breast Reduction Surgery in Mumbai which removes excess fat, tissue and skin from the breast by expert breast surgeon.

What Women Want
By Cristiane Cardoso | Submitted On February 16, 2005

Expert Author Cristiane Cardoso
'It is so hard to understand women' many men say. It is as if we were a strange
being from somewhere in space that needs a lot of research throughout one's life.
And still, many die without the true understanding of what women want. They make
jokes out of this as if we were this complex being that is almost impossible to
please - but are we really? Is it so extraordinarily hard to please a woman?
If men could only see the amazing beings we are, they would not have a hard time
understanding us at all. We are not as complicated as we seem to be it is just that
we are very emotional beings contrary to men, who live more out of their mind
instead of their heart. Women are more sensitive because of their inclination to their
emotions, or heart.
Women have the ability of feeling each other's pain. We can actually feel sad just
because of the sadness of someone else and this explains why we cry at the movies.
Usually men look at us in that sad moment of the movie and think we are so weakly
minded, but that is not how it is, if they could only see that we are feeling in our
flesh what is going on there...
All we want is a little understanding - that's all! Understanding that we are more
emotional than men and that means we need attention. We need to be loved in a
way that will make our high maintenance heart fulfilled. Some men think they can
show their love by bringing money home and giving us a place to sleep - but that is
so far out from what we really want!
Women want the attention they so eagerly work for. Make-ups, hair-dos, diets,
success, talents we have are just a few signs of how much we wish to have our
men's eyes on us... We will take hours to get dressed for this very reason... We will
close up and quiet down just so our men can come and ask 'what is the matter?'...
We will not call and stay a while out of the map just so someone will ask 'where
were you?'...
It may seem childish and even pathetic, but that is how we were made - emotional
beings fuelled by attention. We love independence and yet we crave for marriage.
We love being considered equal to men in society and yet we eager for consideration
and respect like in the old days.
If any men can understand this much about women, they can say they understand
women!

Five Fun Ways To Drop a Dress Size This Summer
By Katie Louise Whitbread | Submitted On August 04, 2016
Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article
Expert Author Katie Louise Whitbread
There are plenty of different ways to get fit and lose weight this summer, but the best ways to drop a dress size are those ones that do not even feel like exercise. Why join a gym when you could enjoy one of these fun ways to improve your body and your fitness level?
Cycle Across The Country
A cycle across the country or, indeed, any long-distance cycle trip is a great way to travel. You will see a lot more than you would on foot and, if you take a tent or a tarp, you can enjoy a night under the stars somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Alternatively, simply do some credit card touring, as it is known, taking little with you and chilling in luxury hotels or other swankier accommodation options along your route. You will be having so much fun watching the scenery fly by that you might not even feel like it is exercise.
Kayak Along A River
An alternative way to get fit and cover some ground is to head off for a canoeing or kayaking adventure along one of our many beautiful waterways across the UK or somewhere further afield. You can take it slow and steady and enjoy the wildlife and the scenery or take a white-knuckle ride on some white water sections, the choice is yours. Either way, you will tone your arms and your core muscles from the paddling and could well drop a dress size before you really even realise you are working at it.
Act Like A Toddler
If you have young kids then travel adventures are probably out of the question - at least until they get a little bit bigger. But toddlers can actually be a great aid to exercise. Have you ever noticed that one they get up and onto their feet, toddlers never seem to stop? The world is new and fascinating to them and so they are always on the go, discovering it all and learning lessons every second. This summer, make it your goal to copy your toddler in everything they do for as long as possible when you are at home. Sit down when they sit down, stand up when they stand, run where they run, instead of just sitting and watching them from the sofa. You will be amazed by how much weight you can lose and by just how tiring following a toddler can be.
Climb The Three Peaks
Those on a mission to lose weight would do well to set a target other than a weight loss or dress size one. Taking your mind off those things and simply aiming for a goal is one way to lose weight without really thinking about it. Consider setting yourself an outdoors adventure challenge. For example, challenge yourself to walk all three of the UK's highest peaks: Scaffell Pike, in England, Mount Snowdon in Wales and Ben Nevis in Scotland. Preparing for and climbing those mountains you will surely find yourself dropping a dress size but you will be enjoying yourself so much it won't have seemed a strain.
Get Up And Pokemon Go
If you do not know about this craze that is taking the world by storm then you must be living under a rock! If this computer game is your thing then all the walking and catching of the creatures could well lead you to get far more exercise than you might imagine.

Menopause Hair Loss Can Be Stopped, Find Out What to Do
By Cathy Taylor | Submitted On January 29, 2005

Expert Author Cathy Taylor
The onset of menopause can often lead to hair loss and has long been a part of aging that many women fear the most. These days many more women are also experiencing thinning and bald spots as they mature, and both men and women are reaching out for new solutions. Even though there is no real 'cure', there are many things that can be done to help.
Both hormones and genes are to blame for menopause causing acute hair loss, as is the aging process. Confirming the causes of your loss with a competent and experienced dermatologist is the first step in determining your best treatment options.
It's possible to have temporary loss of hair caused by physical stress, emotional stress, thyroid abnormalities, medications and hormonal changes (such as androgens and estrogens during menopause) normally associated with females. Tension on the hair by prolonged use of hair weaving or corn rows can also cause permanent loss.
There are autoimmune disorders such as Alopecia Areata that cause patchy loss of hair often in small circular areas in different areas of the scalp. Alopecia Totalis is a total loss of hair on the scalp and is considered an advanced form of Areata. Alopecia Universalis is total hair loss of the entire body. People with diseases such as diabetes and lupus have also reported losing hair as a result.
It's normal to shed some hair each day as about 90 percent of the hair on your scalp is growing at any one time during a normal phase that lasts for 2 to 6 years at one time. Some women notice they are losing hair about 3 months after delivering a child. This is related to a hormone loss and is usually temporary.
Several medicines have been known to cause hair loss such as blood thinners (anticoagulants), medicines used for gout and in chemotherapy to treat cancer. Also, the use of vitamin A, birth control pills and antidepressants has been known to cause hair loss.
On the other hand, male pattern baldness is usually inherited from your genes. An over abundance of the male hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is an active form of testosterone, within the hair follicle can create this type of hair loss. Current medications are aimed at slowing this common type of baldness including Minoxidil which is commonly called Rogaine and is available without a prescription.
Women can apply this product to the scalp. Another medicine, Finasteride, and called Propecia is available in pill form without prescription but is meant only for men. It can take up to 6 months in order to tell if these medications are helping.
Remember, the onset of menopause can often lead to hair loss and has long been a part of aging that many women fear the most. Even though there is no real cure, there are many things that can be done to help.
