WHAT WOMEN WANT

Beauty secrets for older womenHome » Women's Interests Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Cristiane Cardoso Expert Author | 32 Articles Joined: February 16, 2005 United Kingdom What Women Want By Cristiane Cardoso | Submitted On February 16, 2005 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Cristiane Cardoso 'It is so hard to understand women' many men say. It is as if we were a strange being from somewhere in space that needs a lot of research throughout one's life. And still, many die without the true understanding of what women want. They make jokes out of this as if we were this complex being that is almost impossible to please - but are we really? Is it so extraordinarily hard to please a woman? If men could only see the amazing beings we are, they would not have a hard time understanding us at all. We are not as complicated as we seem to be it is just that we are very emotional beings contrary to men, who live more out of their mind instead of their heart. Women are more sensitive because of their inclination to their emotions, or heart. Women have the ability of feeling each other's pain. We can actually feel sad just because of the sadness of someone else and this explains why we cry at the movies. Usually men look at us in that sad moment of the movie and think we are so weakly minded, but that is not how it is, if they could only see that we are feeling in our flesh what is going on there... All we want is a little understanding - that's all! Understanding that we are more emotional than men and that means we need attention. We need to be loved in a way that will make our high maintenance heart fulfilled. Some men think they can show their love by bringing money home and giving us a place to sleep - but that is so far out from what we really want! Women want the attention they so eagerly work for. Make-ups, hair-dos, diets, success, talents we have are just a few signs of how much we wish to have our men's eyes on us... We will take hours to get dressed for this very reason... We will close up and quiet down just so our men can come and ask 'what is the matter?'... We will not call and stay a while out of the map just so someone will ask 'where were you?'... It may seem childish and even pathetic, but that is how we were made - emotional beings fuelled by attention. We love independence and yet we crave for marriage. We love being considered equal to men in society and yet we eager for consideration and respect like in the old days. If any men can understand this much about women, they can say they understand women! HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT DROP A DRESS SIZE FUN WAYS

Beauty secrets for older womenHome » Women's Interests Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Katie Louise Whitbread Platinum Quality Author Platinum Author | 24 Articles Joined: February 1, 2016 United Kingdom Five Fun Ways To Drop a Dress Size This Summer By Katie Louise Whitbread | Submitted On August 04, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Katie Louise Whitbread There are plenty of different ways to get fit and lose weight this summer, but the best ways to drop a dress size are those ones that do not even feel like exercise. Why join a gym when you could enjoy one of these fun ways to improve your body and your fitness level? Cycle Across The Country A cycle across the country or, indeed, any long-distance cycle trip is a great way to travel. You will see a lot more than you would on foot and, if you take a tent or a tarp, you can enjoy a night under the stars somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Alternatively, simply do some credit card touring, as it is known, taking little with you and chilling in luxury hotels or other swankier accommodation options along your route. You will be having so much fun watching the scenery fly by that you might not even feel like it is exercise. Kayak Along A River An alternative way to get fit and cover some ground is to head off for a canoeing or kayaking adventure along one of our many beautiful waterways across the UK or somewhere further afield. You can take it slow and steady and enjoy the wildlife and the scenery or take a white-knuckle ride on some white water sections, the choice is yours. Either way, you will tone your arms and your core muscles from the paddling and could well drop a dress size before you really even realise you are working at it. Act Like A Toddler If you have young kids then travel adventures are probably out of the question - at least until they get a little bit bigger. But toddlers can actually be a great aid to exercise. Have you ever noticed that one they get up and onto their feet, toddlers never seem to stop? The world is new and fascinating to them and so they are always on the go, discovering it all and learning lessons every second. This summer, make it your goal to copy your toddler in everything they do for as long as possible when you are at home. Sit down when they sit down, stand up when they stand, run where they run, instead of just sitting and watching them from the sofa. You will be amazed by how much weight you can lose and by just how tiring following a toddler can be. Climb The Three Peaks Those on a mission to lose weight would do well to set a target other than a weight loss or dress size one. Taking your mind off those things and simply aiming for a goal is one way to lose weight without really thinking about it. Consider setting yourself an outdoors adventure challenge. For example, challenge yourself to walk all three of the UK's highest peaks: Scaffell Pike, in England, Mount Snowdon in Wales and Ben Nevis in Scotland. Preparing for and climbing those mountains you will surely find yourself dropping a dress size but you will be enjoying yourself so much it won't have seemed a strain. Get Up And Pokemon Go If you do not know about this craze that is taking the world by storm then you must be living under a rock! If this computer game is your thing then all the walking and catching of the creatures could well lead you to get far more exercise than you might imagine. Visit MissBella for Beautiful dresses. MENOPAUSE HAIR LOSS CAN BE STOPPED FIND OUT HOW

Beauty secrets for older womenHome » Women's Interests » Menopause HRT Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Cathy Taylor Platinum Quality Author Platinum Author | 119 Articles Joined: November 30, 2004 United States Menopause Hair Loss Can Be Stopped, Find Out What to Do By Cathy Taylor | Submitted On January 29, 2005 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Cathy Taylor The onset of menopause can often lead to hair loss and has long been a part of aging that many women fear the most. These days many more women are also experiencing thinning and bald spots as they mature, and both men and women are reaching out for new solutions. Even though there is no real 'cure', there are many things that can be done to help. Both hormones and genes are to blame for menopause causing acute hair loss, as is the aging process. Confirming the causes of your loss with a competent and experienced dermatologist is the first step in determining your best treatment options. It's possible to have temporary loss of hair caused by physical stress, emotional stress, thyroid abnormalities, medications and hormonal changes (such as androgens and estrogens during menopause) normally associated with females. Tension on the hair by prolonged use of hair weaving or corn rows can also cause permanent loss. There are autoimmune disorders such as Alopecia Areata that cause patchy loss of hair often in small circular areas in different areas of the scalp. Alopecia Totalis is a total loss of hair on the scalp and is considered an advanced form of Areata. Alopecia Universalis is total hair loss of the entire body. People with diseases such as diabetes and lupus have also reported losing hair as a result. It's normal to shed some hair each day as about 90 percent of the hair on your scalp is growing at any one time during a normal phase that lasts for 2 to 6 years at one time. Some women notice they are losing hair about 3 months after delivering a child. This is related to a hormone loss and is usually temporary. Several medicines have been known to cause hair loss such as blood thinners (anticoagulants), medicines used for gout and in chemotherapy to treat cancer. Also, the use of vitamin A, birth control pills and antidepressants has been known to cause hair loss. On the other hand, male pattern baldness is usually inherited from your genes. An over abundance of the male hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is an active form of testosterone, within the hair follicle can create this type of hair loss. Current medications are aimed at slowing this common type of baldness including Minoxidil which is commonly called Rogaine and is available without a prescription. Women can apply this product to the scalp. Another medicine, Finasteride, and called Propecia is available in pill form without prescription but is meant only for men. It can take up to 6 months in order to tell if these medications are helping. Remember, the onset of menopause can often lead to hair loss and has long been a part of aging that many women fear the most. 5 WAYS TO WEAR RED LIPSTICK

Beauty secrets for older womenHome » Women's Interests » Beauty Products Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Nina Harrison Basic Author | 2 Articles Joined: August 7, 2016 United States 5 Ways to Wear Red Lipstick By Nina Harrison | Submitted On August 07, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Do you always find yourself wanting to wear red lipstick, but not knowing exactly how to pull it off? Or do you want to mix up your usual red lipstick look? If so, you're in the right place! Here we have five different makeup ideas centered on the iconic red lipstick, so you can find the look that suits you best. 1. Classic - This look focuses on smooth skin, dark eyes, and red lips that pop. The lips should be the center of attention, so don't overdo the rest of your face. Foundation and concealer to even out your skin, along with a few coats of mascara on both top and bottom lashes, are enough to pull off this classic look. If you want to take it up a notch, add winged eyeliner and a touch of blush. 2. Natural - You'll want to highlight your cheekbones and other high points of the face, add a little bronzer to contour, and dust on a natural rosy blush. Bronze eyeshadow with minimal eyeliner and mascara will allow your ruby red lips to take center stage. 3. Glam - If you're going out to the club or to a social event, this is a great makeup idea! I recommend priming both your eyelids and your face so your makeup can be applied to a smooth surface. Apply your favorite smoky eye, complete with winged eyeliner and a couple coats of mascara. Use foundation and concealer to make your face appear flawless, and highlight and contour the high and low points of your face. Apply blush with a light hand, and opt for a matte red lipstick rather than a shiny one--you don't want your glam look to be completely overwhelming. 4. Dramatic - Get out your false lashes! This look is all about going over the top--in a good way. For your eyes, use darker matte shades to add definition, then apply winged eyeliner, falsies, and mascara. For your face, use a full-coverage foundation and follow up with contouring and highlighting. Finally, a peachy blush and a matte red lip complete this look. 5. Understated - Use a BB cream or light coverage foundation that lets any freckles you have show through. A light dusting of tan or brown eyeshadow in the crease of your eyelid, along with a coat or two of mascara, will soften your eyes. Finally, a glossy or matte red lipstick finishes this look. Whether you're understated or more of a glam girl, you now have five new makeup ideas to help you mix up your red lipstick looks. No matter which one you choose, you're sure to pull off red lipstick like never before! ACUPUNCTURE FOR HORMONE THERAPY

Beauty secrets for older womenHome » Health and Fitness » Acupuncture Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Angela Byrne Basic Author | 1 Article Joined: December 19, 2016 New Zealand Acupuncture for Hormone Therapy By Angela Byrne | Submitted On December 19, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article As a woman, we know the state of our sexual health and changes in our periods can be a great indicator of overall health and health problems. A work colleague had recently been to see her doctor, saying she'd been gaining weight, had irregular periods and was just feeling generally fatigued and listless. It turns out she had an undiagnosed case of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) which was playing havoc with her hormones, massively increasing the amount of testosterone in her body. As anyone who has heard of this condition knows, it can have huge implications on how you live your life, including for fertility and reproductive health. As well as generally messing with the body by destroying the delicate balance of hormones it needs to keep itself stable and healthy. My friend said the doctor had prescribed her Metformin and hormone stabilising tablets. Apparently, they were working, but she wasn't particularly happy with the idea of taking pills for the rest of her life, so she was looking into other options. How does hormone imbalance affect me? A woman's body requires two main hormones to function. Estrogen and progesterone. It's these hormones that control the reproductive cycle, menstrual cycle and fertility in women, as well as having major effects on mood and general health. So it stands to reason that a hormone imbalance causes major issues with a woman's reproductive cycle, including irregular periods, menstrual problems, mood swings, weight gain, increased chance of osteoporosis, heart disease, and even breast cancer. Whilst there are multiple reasons that a woman could develop a hormone imbalance, such as stress, diet, or weight gain, the two biggest factors are generally birth control pills and the perimenopause stage of life. Hormone based birth control pills rely on high doses of estrogen to prevent ovulation, as well as progestin, synthetic progesterone, to thin out the lining of the uterus. Because of the way they work, hormonal birth control pills contain doses of estrogen up to four times higher than would naturally be found in a woman's body during her menstrual cycle. Then menopause also causes major changes in a woman's hormone cycle. As your ovaries age, they naturally release lower levels of the hormones estrogen and progesterone, which cause major changes in your body and can have huge negative effects on health and quality of life for years to come. Whilst there are many ways to treat this, including hormone replacement therapy and other hormone balancing medication, there are a wealth of other options, including one that many people might otherwise overlook. Acupuncture! What is acupuncture? Used in the east as a traditional treatment for centuries, acupuncture is an alternative therapy that is becoming widely accepted, to the point that many reputed and high level medical sources have begun to offer acupuncture treatment alongside more conventional medical treatments. The therapy itself involves inserting thin needles into key points around the body, generally along nerve lines or around specific organs. According to the traditional understanding, the body is full of energy, generally called Chi, or Ki. It's this energy that keeps us alive, and it is believed that inhibiting the flow of it around the body, especially through key points, is what leads to illness and disease. Under Eastern philosophy, the needles used in acupuncture unlock the flow of energy in these points when they are blocked, balancing your life energy so that the body can heal itself naturally. In the west, where research on acupuncture is ongoing, the way it works is thought to be neurophysiological in nature, but it is still not completely understood. It is known that the insertion of acupuncture needles has definite effects on the body, causing nerve stimulation that release muscles and even override brain signals. There are also measurable changes in body chemicals in patients undergoing treatment. Whilst it may not be completely understood, the benefits of acupuncture treatment are widely accepted... To the point that it is regularly available as an alternative treatment from most medical practitioners, and more research studies are being completed every year in an effort to understand just how acupuncture delivers all of its healing properties. Can acupuncture balance our hormones? When it comes to hormone imbalance, the studies are clear. Women who received daily acupuncture sessions showed massive improvements in multiple areas, comparable to the results shown by women tested at the same time with prescription metformin pills. Both groups showed significant improvement in levels of male hormone in the blood, as well as massive changes in cholesterol levels, insulin markers and blood glucose. Incredibly, the women who were prescribed acupuncture actually lost more weight and saw a far quicker response when it came to balancing their menstrual cycles. On top of this, multiple other studies have shown that regular treatments of acupuncture can have healthful effects all over the body, including stabilising fat burning hormones productions by the kidneys and liver, as well as the production of the happy hormones dopamine and serotonin in the brain. As for my friend, she started a course of acupuncture at the local health centre. Within two weeks, she was getting back to her old self, and had nothing but good things to say about the staff and the treatment. According to her, she wasn't the only woman being treated for her condition there, and the amount of people and illnesses they saw was apparently staggering. So if you have a hormonal issue and your doctor prescribes you a course of pills, always remember that as always you do have other options. Acupuncture is available all over the country, so just search for your closest practitioner and book yourself a short course. The results might just surprise you! What To Know More? HOW TO LIFT BREASTS NATURALLY WITHOUT SURGERY

Beauty secrets for older womenHome » Women's Interests » Cosmetic Surgery Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Dr Kourosh Tavakoli Platinum Quality Author Platinum Author | 114 Articles Joined: February 23, 2016 Australia Natural Breast Lift Methods By Dr Kourosh Tavakoli | Submitted On April 27, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Dr Kourosh Tavakoli Before you actually go for breast lift surgery, there are several things you can do to improve your looks, to some extent. There are ways you can give yourself natural breast lifting without having to break the bank. Here are a few ways you can give your breasts a natural makeover: 1. Breast Enlargement Exercises Although breasts are made up of fat, they can be made firmer and perkier through exercise. There are muscles underneath the breast which can be stimulated to grow, thus lifting the breast and giving it a firmer appearance. Exercises such as push-ups, chest flies, press-ups and wall pushes all help in building chest muscles. You need to be consistent with these exercises in order to see results. Also, you can get more from such exercises by using equipment, such as dumbbells. 2. Natural Supplements Did you know that a mineral or vitamin deficiency can have an effect on how perky or droopy your breasts are? This is because some minerals have an effect on your hormonal levels, which in turn have an effect on your breasts. Too much testosterone as well as too little oestrogen will lead to you having smaller breasts. There are various supplements available on the market that are all geared towards giving you fuller and perkier breasts. These supplements work by increasing the amount of oestrogen in your body. 3. Breast Pumps Breast pumps are used to apply pressure onto breasts, creating a suction motion. The pressure on your breasts will stimulate tissue growth. Such breast pumps are available in both manual and electric versions. The suction force of these pumps pulls up the epidermis layer of your skin, leaving space underneath it. This space is eventually filled with breast tissue, thus giving your breasts a lift. 4. Breast Massage Did you know that gently massaging your breasts for half an hour everyday will stimulate tissue growth? There are numerous masseurs that offer breast massages, but if you are not comfortable with that, you can learn to do it on your own. The whole massage involves kneading the breasts gently, stroking the nipples, and massaging the breasts in both clockwise and anticlockwise motions. Your breasts will be stimulated to grow, giving them a fuller look, and eventually lifting them. What's more is that a study conducted by UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory shows that regular breast massages can prevent cancer. The physical pressure applied during a massage makes it hard for cancer cells to grow. 5. Quality Bras Did you know that the type of bras you wear can have an effect on the way your breasts look? You can give your breasts a lift by wearing a bra that fits properly. Some women's breasts droop as a result of not wearing the right kind of bras. So, you can give your breasts a lift simply by switching bras. If you're not sure about the correct size to wear, you can visit a lingerie or clothing store near you and get professionally fitted. HOW MUCH DOES A TUMMY TUCK COST

Beauty secrets for older womenHome » Women's Interests » Cosmetic Surgery Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Audrey M. Hardy Platinum Quality Author Platinum Author | 14 Articles Joined: September 29, 2009 United States How Much Does A Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Cost? By Audrey M. Hardy | Submitted On December 01, 2014 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article According to 2013 data from the ASPS or the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average tummy tuck cost is $5,217. This will, however, depend on the surgeon you select, the scope of treatment, geographic location of your surgeon's practice and other basic factors. Throughout your life, perhaps there is no other body area that is subjected to as many changes as your abdomen. Pregnancy, weight gain and loss, and many other experiences may take a deep toll on your skin and midsection tissues. Dieting and exercising cannot change their appearances. Hence, surgery becomes the only option to achieve the desired shape. Tummy tuck or abdominoplasty involves various combinations of procedures intended to help people achieve a toned, lean midsection. The technique almost always includes liposuction, removal of glut skin and thinning of underlying muscles, all performed at different levels. With so many possible variations on the procedure, it can be tricky to pin down an exact or estimated tummy tuck cost. Generally, you can anticipate that the tummy tuck cost is very much affected by your surgeon and the reason for treatment. In most cases, a physician can determine if the tummy tuck will provide medical advantages. This is particularly true for patients who have undergone a huge weight loss after Bariatric surgery. Under such conditions, insurance coverage may apply. In other cases, patients may merely want to get a cosmetic improvement, and should anticipate paying for the tummy tuck cost themselves. Either way it pays to carry out your research and decide what will bring you results you are looking for. Anesthesia Apart from the kind of surgeon you pick or the reason for treatment, to determine the tummy tuck cost, you must include any anesthesia fees too. These are often not included in the original estimate for a tummy tuck. Anesthesia is a kind of medication administered to stop a patient from feeling pain as the doctor removes the excess tissue, creates incisions and performs some steps in the procedure. The medication can be given either by a nurse or an anesthesiologist. In most cases, fees are billed hourly. The cost will also vary with the person administering the drug. It is much more expensive to use a certified anesthesiologist but is usually cheaper when administered by a nurse. Make sure you ask your plastic surgeon if these costs have been included or will be billed separately. After-Surgery Costs The tummy tuck cost estimates should also include additional expenses following your surgery. Some of these expenses are included in the entire cost of the treatment, whereas others are not. For instance, some surgeons will offer a free elastic prop up garment for their patients to put on as they recover and usually some pain killers to make you feel comfortable. All this helps to aid proper healing. If the garment requires replacement, costs vary from $50 to $150. Prescription pain medication after the surgery may not be included in the initial estimates. How Tummy Tuck Surgery Affects You Besides spending a sizeable amount of cash which may come out of your pocket, this surgery has its other effects too. Majority of patients are extremely happy with their tummy tucks. The operation completely transforms the whole midsection or stomach area, ending embarrassment and enhancing self-esteem. Plus you'll get lots of compliments on your new improved body and shape. In addition, your general health may improve from undergoing the surgery. The technique rids patients of big sagging skin folds, which are potentially infected with bacteria or fungus. Consequently, the tummy tuck is well-received by Bariatric patients who experience rashes and sores. The muscles in the belly wall can begin to separate from pregnancy or aging, something referred to as laxity. This may lead to reduced muscle potency and make the area look like it is sagging. Tummy tucks deal with this problem by fixing the muscles and making them much tighter. This is referred to as plication. In addition to this, the stretch marks are removed too, along with the excess skin. All these are included in the entire tummy tuck cost you have to pay, which makes it more cost-effective. Conclusion Whilst no surgeon can guarantee results which will meet your hopes beyond a shadow of doubt, you may reduce the risk of unfavorable outcome by not shopping price alone. In basic terms, the better the surgeon, the better the results and the likelihood of having to return for corrections is reduced. Thus, the importance of selecting a reputable and an excellent doctor should not be overstated. Tummy tucks are a safe and acceptable way to trim down your waist line without exercise or dieting. Costs vary from city to city and state to state. Find the best cosmetic surgeons in your area at [http://costoftummytuck.com/].
